KIRSTY ARMSTRONG Kirsty has worked as a sculptor since gaining her BA (hons) in Fine Art in 1988. Since then she has worked for various figurine manufacturing companies as a sculptor, as well as creating her own pieces for sale online and through galleries. Her work is figurative, extremely detailed, stylised to a degree, and usually depicts some sort of animal. Currently, Kirsty is working full time designing, sculpting and producing her own lines and fulfilling orders and commissions, and she also produces bespoke awards. She is involved in Red Squirrel conservation and her range of red squirrel sculptures continues to help raise funds for this endangered native mammal. Kirsty usually sculpts in modelling wax which allows for the original to be moulded and then produced as a limited edition which are made in either cold-cast copper or pewter, or as hand painted resin pieces.
